Deacon Richard Brown has gotten word that his
wife, Sister Lillian Brown is being transported by Officials
to the Port-A-Prince Airport in Haiti. She is O K, and
hopefully she will be transported back home safely very
soon. Praise God! However, we have learned that Bishop
Eliseo Joseph, the Presiding Officer for the Church of God
in Haiti, was crushed in his vehicle by a building structure
during the massive earthquakes, and was unable to be
recovered. We solicit your prayers for Bishop Joseph's
wife, as she is devastated as so many who are victims of
this tragic earthquake. Bishop Joseph, his wife Sister
Manerva and other friends were faciliting our enroads for
fruitful mission work in Haiti. Sister Lillian Brown was
with them on Special
Assignment when this tragedy hit.
Bishop was
well loved, respected and known for his love and devotion.
We likened his passion and love for the ministry to that of
the Apostle Paul. Often our hearts
cry, "Lord where do we go from here?" Well,
JESUS is in our midst, and He, the Holy Spirit will comfort,
guide and teach us even now. But, first things first.
Below is
a posting of how you can donate / contribute to the relief
of our brothers and sisters in Haiti. Please copy the
FLYER: COCHUSA WMB "HAITI EARTHQUAKE EMERGENCY RELIEF
FUND." This emergency fund is established for
earmaking donations / contributions for this effort. 1)
Funds will go directly to the relief of victims of the
current earthquake emergency, and 2) We will partner with
other reputable world mission network organizations with
funds and 3) Facilitate Short Term Mission Relief Teams as
the Lord leads.
At this time, we are praying and
awaiting the appropriate time to take strategic plans under
the auspices of the World Mission Board. Please pray for
our WMB as we work together in this critical door of
opportunity of service.
